The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Paavai College of Engineering successfully organized workshop titled “VLSI System Design and Methodologies” on August 29, 2026.
The session was led by Mr. S. Saran, Operational Manager, EMATIX Embedded & Software Solutions Private Limited, Salem, who served as the resource person for the workshop. He delivered an informative and engaging session on VLSI system design and methodologies, highlighting the importance of VLSI technology in modern electronic systems. He also discussed industry practices, design approaches, skill requirements, and career opportunities available to students in the VLSI and embedded systems domains. The session included practical insights and examples that helped students understand the relationship between theoretical concepts and real-world industrial applications.
The event was presided over by Dr. V. Hariharan, M.E., Ph.D., Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, who emphasized the Importance of VLSI System Design and Methodologies, providing students with valuable insights into emerging technologies inspiring students to actively engage in the workshop. Dr. A. Immanuvel, M.E., Ph.D., Vice Principal and Dr. N. Sasikumar, HoD of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Paavai College of Engineering, addressed the gathering and appreciated the resource person. Faculty members and all department students also actively participated in the event.
The workshop successfully enhanced the participants’ technical knowledge, practical understanding, problem-solving skills, and awareness of career opportunities in VLSI and embedded systems. The programme concluded with a note of appreciation to the resource person, faculty members, coordinators, and students for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the workshop.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Miss. N. Lavanya – Third year ECE, followed by an introduction of the resource person by Miss. S.Keerthana – Third year ECE. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. V.Karthik Selva, Third Year ECE.
