The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, organized a Hackathon titled “EUREKA! Pitch Battle 2026” on 22nd August 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. K. Nivetha, III Year CSE student. Following the welcome address, Ms. R. Shruthika, III Year CSE student, introduced the jury members: Mr. T. S. Manoj Kumar, Co-Founder of Campuszen; Mr. S. Yoga Hari Karan, CEO of Way2Me; Mr. M. Srinivash, CEO of MUCO Labs; and Mrs. S. Sreemathy, CEO of Linkskill Academy Private Limited.
The EUREKA! Pitch Battle 2026 was organized to provide students with a platform to showcase their innovative ideas, entrepreneurial skills, and problem-solving abilities. The activity aimed to encourage students to identify real-world problems, develop innovative solutions, and effectively communicate their ideas through structured business pitches. It also focused on fostering creativity, confidence, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking among the participants. The participants prepared and delivered short pitches highlighting the problem statement, proposed solution, uniqueness of the idea, target users, feasibility, market potential, and possible implementation strategies. The event encouraged students to approach real-world challenges from an entrepreneurial perspective and transform their innovative ideas into potential products, services, or startup opportunities.
The pitching session provided students with valuable exposure to idea validation, business thinking, and constructive feedback. The jury members evaluated the presentations based on parameters such as innovation, relevance of the problem, feasibility, creativity, scalability, business potential, and presentation skills. The interactive nature of the event motivated students to refine their ideas and understand the importance of effective communication while presenting innovative concepts. The programme was followed by a feedback session, during which the participants shared their valuable observations, experiences, and learning outcomes. Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. T. Deepanjali, II Year CSE student, marking the successful conclusion of the programme.
