The Department of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering, Paavai College of Engineering, organized a guest lecture on “Next-Generation Automotive Technology – ADAS, AI and Machine Learning” on 22.08.2026.
The session was delivered by Mr. K. K. Balaji, M.Tech., Senior Product Design Engineer, Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. The programme was presided over by the Principal, Dr. V. Hariharan.
A total of 120 students from the Departments of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering actively participated in the guest lecture. The resource person explained the latest developments in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) and highlighted their applications in modern automotive design and vehicle safety.
The lecture provided students with valuable insights into emerging automotive technologies, intelligent vehicle systems, autonomous driving, sensor-based safety systems, and the role of AI and ML in the future of mobility. The interactive session helped students understand current industry trends and the skills required for careers in the automotive sector.
