The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Paavai College of Engineering (PCE) organized a Blood Donation & Free Health Check-up Camp on 03.09.2026 at the Visveswaraya Block, Paavai College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Government Medical College Hospital, Namakkal.
The programme was supported by Dr. A. Anbumalar, MBBS., DCP, District Blood Transfusion Officer, Government Medical College Hospital, Namakkal. A total of 120 students, along with members of the general public, drivers, and civil workers, utilized the free health check-up facilities provided during the camp.
The camp created awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation, regular health check-ups, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Eligible participants were encouraged to donate blood and support patients in need.
The Lions Club, Puduchitram, extended valuable support for the successful conduct of the camp by providing tables, beds, and drinking water bottles for the participants and medical team. Their contribution helped provide the necessary facilities and comfort during the programme.
The medical team conducted health check-ups and provided basic health guidance to the beneficiaries. The NSS volunteers and college staff coordinated the programme effectively and ensured its smooth conduct.
The participation of students, members of the public, drivers, and civil workers made the camp beneficial to the wider community. The programme successfully promoted health awareness, voluntary blood donation, social responsibility, and community service.
