The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Paavai College of Engineering successfully organized Guest lecture titled “From Idea to Enterprise: The Entrepreneurial Journey” on Aug 29, 2026.
The session was led by Mrs.K.S.Subashini, Founder and CEO of Genufy Techworks, Salem & US who delivered an insightful lecture on “From Idea to Enterprise: The Entrepreneurial Journey”. The event was presided over by Dr. V. Hariharan, M.E., Ph.D., Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, who delivered an inspiring keynote address emphasizing the critical shift from job seekers to job creators, urging students to utilize the campus EDC cell to transform their raw academic ideas into viable, real-world enterprises and Mr. R. Prabu, HoD of Biomedical Engineering of Paavai College of Engineering, addressed the gathering and appreciated the resource person. Faculty members and all department students also actively participated in the event.
The Guest Lecture featured an insightful presentation by Mrs.K.S.Subashini, a distinguished expert in the fields of startups and Entrepreneurship policy. With a strong background in business innovation and startup strategy, Mrs.K.S.Subashini skillfully guided participants through the intricate connections between market gaps and the building of a successful enterprise. Throughout the session, the speaker emphasized the importance of a structured and customer-centric approach to addressing foundational business challenges such as value proposition, feasibility testing, and initial funding. Drawing on real-world startup case studies and current market data, the speaker demonstrated how the entrepreneurial framework serves as a roadmap for identifying and prioritizing genuine consumer needs at both local and global levels. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Miss. K.Harsha – Third year BME, followed by an introduction of the resource person by Miss. S.Divhyadharshini – Third year BME. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss. S.Oviya, Third Year BME. Dr.L.Vasanth, Convener of EDC, Heads of all the Departments, faculty members from various Departments, and around 120 students of various Departments were present in the Guest Lecture session.
