The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organized a Webinar on “Agentic AI” on 11th September 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Webinar commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms.Monisha Raman, IV Year CSE student. Ms.R.Shruthika, III Year CSE student, introduced the guest speaker, Mrs.M.Agalya, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Vivekananda College of Engineering for Women, Tiruchengode. The resource person shared valuable insights into the fundamental concepts of Agentic Artificial Intelligence, including AI agents, autonomous decision-making, goal-oriented task execution, reasoning, planning, memory, tool utilization, and interaction with external environments. The resource person explained how agentic AI systems can decompose complex problems into smaller tasks, select appropriate actions, learn from feedback, and adapt their responses based on changing situations.
The webinar also highlighted practical applications of Agentic AI in areas such as software development, healthcare, education, business automation, customer support, data analysis, robotics, and intelligent assistants. Real-world examples and interactive discussions helped participants understand how multiple AI agents can collaborate to accomplish complex objectives. The session also emphasized the importance of responsible AI practices, human oversight, data privacy, security, and ethical considerations while developing and deploying autonomous AI systems. The Webinar was followed by a feedback session, during which the participants shared their valuable observations and learning experiences. Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by T.Deepanjali, II Year CSE student, marking the successful conclusion of the Webinar.
