The Department of CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), organized a webinar on “Generative AI and Healthcare to Edge Computing” on 16.09.2026 and it was conducted for faculty members and students.
The session was graced by Ms. K. Jothimani, Assistant Professor, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode – 638060, who served as the resource person. The resource person delivered an informative and insightful session on the emerging technologies of Generative Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, and Edge Computing, highlighting their growing importance in the digital era.
The resource person explained the fundamental concepts of Generative AI and discussed its capabilities in generating text, images, content, and intelligent solutions. The session also highlighted the applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, including intelligent diagnosis, healthcare support systems, personalized care, medical data analysis, and decision-making.
The resource person further explained the concept of Edge Computing and its role in enabling real-time data processing closer to the source of data generation. The participants gained insights into how Edge Computing can support low-latency, efficient, and responsive applications, particularly in healthcare and other intelligent systems.
The session emphasized the integration of Generative AI, healthcare technologies, and Edge Computing to develop innovative and efficient solutions for real-world challenges. Practical examples and emerging applications were discussed to help participants understand the relevance of these technologies in research, academic projects, innovation, and industry.

The event was presided over by Dr. V. Hariharan, M.E., Ph.D., Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, who emphasized the importance of Generative AI to actively engage in the session. Dr. A. Immanuvel, M.E., Ph.D., Vice Principal and Mr. C. Sundhar, HoD of CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) of Paavai College of Engineering, addressed the gathering and appreciated the resource person. Faculty members and students also actively participated in the event.
