The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth Red Cross (YRC) Units of Paavai College of Engineering (PCE) organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally on 30 July 2026 at 11:00 AM with the objective of creating awareness among students and the general public about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse.
The rally was flagged off by Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering. A total of 200 NSS and YRC volunteers actively participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and commitment. The volunteers carried awareness placards and raised slogans emphasizing the importance of staying away from drugs and leading a healthy and responsible life.
The rally focused on spreading the message that drug abuse adversely affects physical health, mental well-being, education, family relationships, and society as a whole. The volunteers encouraged the public, particularly young people, to make healthy choices and contribute towards building a drug-free society.
The programme successfully created awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and highlighted the important role of students and youth in preventing substance abuse. The active participation of the NSS and YRC volunteers made the rally a meaningful and impactful awareness initiative.
