“Paavai College of Engineering organized an NSS trekking program on November 7, 2024. Dr. V. Hariharan, Ph.D., Principal of Paavai College of Engineering, inaugurated the program, which aimed to promote student involvement in the community, collaboration, and physical fitness. This initiative aligned with the NSS’s objectives of fostering environmental awareness and personal growth. The one-day trek covered a route from Paavai College of Engineering to Karivartha Perumal Karadu in Pachal. Under the guidance of 20 staff members and an NSS program officer, 50 NSS students participated. Participants were selected based on their dedication to NSS activities, including cleaning, tree planting, and plastic waste collection. Overall, the trekking program enhanced students’ physical stamina and deepened their commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement, providing valuable lessons and a meaningful experience.”
