The Department of BME organized an alumni guest lecture program titled “Unlocking Your Potential.” The session commenced at 2:30 p.m. in the presence of Dr. A. Immanuvel, Principal; Prof. R. Prabu, Head of the Department of BME; faculty members; and participants from the BME department. In his presidential address, Dr. A. Immanuvel emphasized the importance of unlocking one’s potential.
The keynote address was delivered by the guest speaker, Ms. A. Durga Devi, Technical Team Lead at Infosys Limited, Bengaluru. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the College for its support and guidance. She shared her experience as a student, explaining how it gave her the confidence to face the world beyond the campus.
During her talk, Ms. Durga Devi focused on “Unlocking Your Potential.” She shared her personal story, highlighting the challenges and milestones in her career. She emphasized the roles of self-awareness and resilience in her growth and underscored the importance of setting clear, actionable goals. She offered practical advice on creating and maintaining a roadmap to achieve them. Additionally, she discussed strategies for dealing with setbacks and challenges, including mindset shifts and practical approaches to problem-solving.
Ms. Durga Devi encouraged students to actively participate in various events and stressed that a practical approach to learning and studying is key to success. Her positive energy inspired students to stay focused on their goals and pursue them with determination. She concluded by extending her heartfelt thanks to the management, Principal, Head of the Department of BME, and the faculty members.
Ms. S. Boomika, a third-year BME student, welcomed the gathering. The session concluded around 4:30 p.m. with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. G. Thirisha, a final-year BME student.
