The Department of Automobile Engineering of Paavai College of Engineering conducted a workshop on ‘3-D Printing Technology’ on 30.01.2019 on the campus. The workshop was presided over by the Director Administration and he also inaugurated the workshop. The workshop was graced by the principal Mrs.M.Devi and the Head of the Department of automobile engineering Prof.J.Narendran.The resource persons were Mr.S.Bhoobesh Chandran, Chief Executive officer & Operation Strategist and Mr. I.Abdul Irshad, Technical Associate, VBL Institute of Technical Campus. The Director Administration spoke on the Importance of recent technologies in various industries and techniques that the students have to learn in order to get placed in MNC companies. The Chief guest, in his address spoke about ‘3-D printing technique used in industry’. He mentioned about the necessity of interaction between the institution and the industry and also he demonstrated the process of 3-D printing machine and he made the students design and modeling. The Heads of various departments and faculty members took part in the event. The participants were benefitted by the workshop and the feedback was very good.
