Hence, Centre for Foreign Languages was inaugurated on 30.04.18 by Ponnuswami, Chairman & Managing Director of Pon Pure Chemicals India Private Limited, & the Chairman of CII- Chennai Zone in Paavai Engineering College.
Career Avenue for engineering graduates with well-built foreign language skills becomes easier. In Paavai, French, German, Japanese and Spoken Hindi are taught to the students by the well qualified faculty members in their field to enrich the students’ skills. Some of them are associated with the countries of foreign language who inculcate not only the foreign language, but also the culture of those countries. Students who wish to pursue their higher studies in foreign countries find it an added advantage.
The syllabus of the language is framed to focus on the use of the four skills ( LSRW ), to teach the grammar of the language and to give an insight of the culture of the foreign language. Teaching methodology adopted are board and ICT tools for clear understanding of the language. Students are tested on the writing and speaking skills and are finally certified.
