The National Anti-Drug Rally, organized by Paavai College of Engineering under the auspices of the National Service Scheme (NSS), took place on November 23, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote the vision of a drug-free society.
The rally commenced with great enthusiasm, spearheaded by the college’s management and the NSS team, with active participation from students and staff members. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Gomathy, Inspector of Police, Puduchatiram, Namakkal, who inaugurated the rally by addressing the gathering at the starting point. She delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of educating young people about the harmful effects of drugs and the collective responsibility of society in combating this issue.
The rally began at the PCE campus and proceeded towards the Puduchatiram Police Station, covering a significant distance to spread awareness within the community. Students, faculty, and NSS volunteers participated energetically, carrying placards and banners displaying powerful anti-drug messages.
The Chairman and Correspondent Madam of the college officially flagged off the rally, leading the participants with great enthusiasm. Her presence and encouragement boosted the morale of the participants, setting a positive and impactful tone for the event.
