The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Paavai College of Engineering, Namakkal, successfully organized an online webinar titled “Cyber Shield Fundamentals- Engineering your digital safety” on Saturday, 05 September 2026, from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM, through Google Meet.
The webinar aimed to provide practical insights into the integration of Cyber Shield Fundamentals – Engineering Your Digital Safety focuses on developing the knowledge and responsible practices needed to protect ourselves and our digital environments.
Ms.V B Dhivyapriya (III Year AI&DS) introduced the Guest speaker, the program was graced by the presence of the Guest Speaker, Dr. R. Vijayarajeswari, B.Tech., M.E., Ph.D., Professor at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
The webinar was organized under the guidance of Dr. V.Hariharan, Principal, and Dr. A. Immanuvel, Vice Principal, Paavai College of Engineering. The event was coordinated by Mr.S. Prabhu, HOD/AI & DS, and Mr. P. J. Raguraman, AP/AI&DS, with the support of Mrs M. Menaga, AP/AI&DS,Faculty Coordinator.
Participants actively engaged throughout the session and gained valuable knowledge on cyber security fundamentals, common digital threats, safe online practices, password security, phishing awareness, and strategies for protecting personal and institutional data. The interactive session encouraged participants to develop a strong cybersecurity mindset and adopt responsible digital practices in their everyday lives.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. S.Kanimozhi (III Year AI&DS), expressing sincere appreciation to the resource person for the valuable insights and guidance, and to all the participants for their enthusiastic interaction and active involvement throughout the session.
