The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Unit of Paavai College of Engineering conducted an Anti-Ragging Rally on the Paavai campus on 09.02.2026 at 11:00 a.m., with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and promoting a safe and healthy academic environment.
A total of 200 YRC volunteers actively participated in the rally. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal, and Dr. A. Immanuvel, Vice Principal, who flagged off the rally and addressed the students. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of discipline, mutual respect, and maintaining a ragging-free campus, encouraging students to uphold the humanitarian values of the Indian Red Cross Society.
The rally proceeded through the campus with students holding placards and raising slogans against ragging, spreading messages of unity, harmony, and respect among peers. The event successfully created awareness and reinforced the institution’s commitment to ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning atmosphere.
The Anti-Ragging Rally was effectively organized with the active participation and coordination of the YRC volunteers, making the programme meaningful and impactful.
