The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Paavai College of Engineering, organized a Guest Lecture on “Building RAG Application with Snowflake Cortex Search” on February 21, 2025, at 10.00 A.M. The session aimed to provide students with insights into emerging technologies and practical applications in artificial intelligence and data science.
The event commenced with a prayer song by the students, creating a pleasant and positive atmosphere. The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. V. B. Dhivya Priya, II Year AI&DS, who greeted the dignitaries and participants and highlighted the importance of the guest lecture.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr.A.Immanuvel, Vice Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, who emphasized the significance of continuous learning, research, and innovation in advanced technological domains.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Sriganesh Palani, Tech Lead at Tech Mahindra, Bangalore, was introduced by Ms. S. Kanimozhi, II Year AI&DS. During his keynote address, he provided valuable insights into Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Snowflake Cortex Search, and their applications in building intelligent data-driven systems. His session offered practical exposure to industry practices and motivated students to explore advancements in AI technologies.
The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. S. Sanjay, III Year AI&DS, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, chief guest, faculty members, and students for their support and participation.
