The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and CSE (Cyber Security), organized a session on “MSME Schemes for Entrepreneurs” on 04th September 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The session was led by Mr. G. Vasudevan, District Programme Manager, EDII-TN, Namakkal, who served as the Resource Speaker. He delivered a highly insightful and engaging lecture, highlighting the administrative setup of the MSME Department and explaining the roles of the Industries Commissioner and the Director of Industries and Commerce (IC&DIC). He also elaborated on various schemes such as NEEDS, UYEGP, PMEGP, and AABCS, providing valuable information on how these initiatives support budding entrepreneurs.
The event commenced with a Welcome Address by Ms. T. Srimathi, II Year CSE, followed by the Introduction of the Resource Person by Ms. R. Shruthika, II Year CSE. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. R. Mahibavathi, III Year CSE.
Dr. V. Hariharan, M.E., Ph.D., Principal, Dr. A. Immanuvel, M.E., Ph.D., Vice Principal, Mr. R. Murugesan, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Mrs. B. M. Brinda, Head of the Department of CSE (Cyber Security), Paavai College of Engineering, addressed the gathering and expressed their appreciation for the speaker’s contributions.
The event witnessed active participation from both faculty and students. Dr. L. Vasanth, Convener of EDC, coordinated the program along with the Heads of various Departments. Around 20 faculty members and approximately 100 students from different departments participated, making a total of about 120 attendees.
