The Paavai College of Engineering organized a Work shop on “First Aid training” for YRC volunteers on 20thFebruary, 2026. The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by the TamilthaiValthu. The inaugural function took place in the presence of Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal; Dr. A. Immanuvel, Vice Principal of Paavai College of Engineering; Mr.Gowrisankar YRC coordinator.
Miss. S.Srimathi, a second-year, AI&ML Engineering student, delivered the welcome address. Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal at Paavai College of Engineering, presided over the function. In his presidential speech he addressed the humanitarian principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and encouraged the volunteers to tirelessly for the welfare of society.
Miss. C.A.shalini, a second-year, AI&ML Engineering student, introduced the resource person. Dr. A. Hepsi Rachel Chellarani, Principal at Paavai College of Nursing and Research, delivered the keynote address. She highlighted the importance of First Aid training;it is a life-saving responsibility. In emergencies, the first few minutes are critical, and a trained individual can make the difference between life and death.
The chief guest, Dr. A. Hepsi Rachel Chellarani, then continued the session with an overview of First Aid concepts. She also provided hands-on training such as CPR, wound management, fracture handling, and emergency response techniques. But beyond techniques, she addressed studentvolunteerstodevelop confidence, presence of mind, and the spirit of service.
Miss. A.Dhivadharshi, a Third-year AI&ML Engineering student, proposed the vote of thanks. The session concluded with the National Anthem.
