The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Paavai College of Engineering, Namakkal, successfully organized an online webinar titled “Role of Artificial Intelligence in RASPBERRY PI for Everyone: Simple, Practical Projects” on Thursday, 05 February 2026, from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM, through Google Meet.
The webinar aimed to provide practical insights into the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with RASPBERRY PI, focusing on beginner-friendly and real-world project applications. The session was designed to benefit students and faculty members interested in embedded systems, IoT, and AI-driven solutions.
S.Sanjay of III Year AI&DS introduced the Guest speaker, the program was graced by the presence of the Guest Speaker, Mr. Vidhya Prakash Rajendran,ME.,(Ph.D.), Lecturer, Engineering Department, University of Technology and Applied Science, Nizwa, Oman. The speaker delivered an engaging and informative session, explaining fundamental AI concepts, Raspberry Pi capabilities, and practical implementation strategies using simple project demonstrations.
The webinar was organized under the guidance of Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal, and Dr. A. Immanuvel, Vice Principal, Paavai College of Engineering. The event was coordinated by Mr. S. Prabhu, HOD/AI & DS, and Mr. P. J. Raguraman, AP/AI&DS, with the support of Mrs. M. Menaga, AP/AI&DS, Faculty Coordinator.
Participants actively interacted during the session and gained valuable knowledge on applying AI techniques in low-cost hardware platforms. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms.M.Dharanisri (II Year AI&DS), appreciating the speaker for his valuable contribution and the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
