The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with department of Civil Engineering has organized a Webinar on “Environmental pollution and climate change” on 22.04.2022 from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Mrs.K.Roja, Assistant professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Mother Teresa college of Engineering, Pudukottai was the resource speaker.
The Webinar started with the welcome address given by R.A.Ganapathy Raju, Final year Civil Engineering, Paavai College Engineering. The chief guest introduction was given by V. Chandru, Final year Civil Engineering. Dr.A.Immanuvel, Principal and President of IIC gave valuable Inaugural address about the Environmental pollution and Climate change.
The session was continued with the chief guest Mrs.K.Roja on the topic of Environmental pollution. She gave brief introduction about Earth day. In her speech she gave detailed explanation about Water pollution, land pollution, air pollution, Noise pollution and their causes, impacts on the environment and prevention of pollution. And also she explained the ecological impacts of Climate change like Global warming and Green house effects. The session ended with a Vote of thanks by S.Sharun kumar, final year Civil Engineering.
Dr.J.Narendran, Vice President of IIC, Mr.S.Prabhu, Convener of IIC, Heads of all the departments, faculty members of various Departments, and around 75 students were present in the workshop session.
