Paavai College of Engineering conducted the Orientation Program 2025–2026 for TQI (Talent Quest for India) Volunteers on 23rd August 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. at Visvesvaraya Hall. A total of 100 TQI volunteers participated in the program.
The event commenced at 10:00 A.M. with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. S. Sruthika, a final-year IT student. She introduced the distinguished guest speakers, Ms. Mukila, Trainer at Talent Quest for India, and Mr. P. Suriya, also a Trainer at Talent Quest for India. The speakers were honored with mementos as a token of appreciation.
Mr. P. Suriya delivered an engaging talk introducing TQI, its objectives, the impact of its community projects, and how the initiative helps shape career development. He also provided insights into TQI’s ongoing projects.
After a short break, Ms. Mukila conducted a session on the ULLAS Summit classes, DOD sessions, and the Cluster Program. She explained their structure, purpose, and execution in detail. Following this, Mr. Suriya resumed the session, leading participants through interactive group activities.
Volunteers were divided into four groups, each assigned a Summit Class topic. Group members discussed their topics, shared their understanding with others, and practiced how to deliver the content effectively to students. The activity emphasized key skills such as planning, time management, teamwork, and decision-making, reinforced through games and demonstrations.
After the lunch break, Mr. Suriya provided detailed guidance on the Cluster Program, including how to conduct classes in panchayat schools, how to engage with students, and how to foster community interaction.
Volunteers were then divided into six groups, each focusing on a different Cluster Program module. Each group discussed and presented their understanding of the topic and how they would teach it to students. This was followed by a detailed discussion on the process flow for ULLAS sessions and the Cluster Program, covering aspects like:
Lesson planning
Reporting
Financial tracking
Email communication
Documentation matrices, and more.
The day concluded with a Q&A and feedback session, where volunteers actively interacted with the guest speakers and clarified their doubts.
Ms. Mukila provided a summary of the day’s sessions and expressed her gratitude to Paavai College of Engineering and the volunteers for their active participation and enthusiasm.
Finally, Ms. Y. Yuvasri, a 3rd-year Cybersecurity student, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the guest speakers and volunteers for their presence and support.
The training program concluded with a group photo, marking the end of a productive and inspiring day.
