Paavai College of Engineering conducted a two-day National Level Technical Symposium TECHFEST- 2K24 on 3rd & 4th April 2024. The inauguration ceremony of TECHFEST 2K24 commenced on April 3, 2024, at Anandha Arangam. This event marked the beginning of what promises to be an engaging and enlightening series of events for the tech community. The programme started with the prayer song. Mr. E. Tamizhan, Third Year CSE, welcomed the gathering.
Shri.CA. N.V. Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions inaugurated and presided over the function. His presidential speech served as a wellspring of inspiration and guidance for the audience. He instilled in them a deeper comprehension of the importance of active participation, self-awareness, and diligent practice. His insightful discourse resonated with attendees, motivating them to pursue excellence in all their endeavors. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions initiated the function by lighting the Kuthuvilaku.
Dr.K.K. Ramasamy, Director Admin, Dr.A. Immanuvel, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, Deans of Paavai Institutions, COE, Paavai Engineering College, Heads of various departments, faculty members, students and delegates from other colleges participated in the inauguration ceremony.
The chief guest Ms. Padmini Subramanian, Associate Vice President, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Bengaluru delivered the keynote address. A highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by the Chief Guest, Ms. Padmini Subramanian, hailing from Bengaluru. She shed light on the significance and myriad opportunities afforded by AWS (Amazon Web Services) certificates. She elucidated how these certifications can enhance one’s resume and elaborated on the process, locations, and timing for undertaking the certification exams. Furthermore, Ms. Padmini delineated the range of certifications accessible to both seasoned industry veterans and aspiring students, catering to diverse skill levels within the industry.
Adding depth to the ceremony, Ms. Padmini also promoted “Chip War,” a book authored by Chris Miller. This literary work delves into the evolution of chip manufacturing, providing insights into its historical progression and contemporary significance. Also, students of Paavai College of Engineering showcased their talents in Project Expo conducted as part of Technical Symposium.
The valedictory function of the National Level Technical Symposium, Techfest 2024, was graced on 4th April 2024 at Pragathi Hall by the esteemed presence of Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions, who presided over the function. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, in her valedictory address, urged the participants to actively engage in future events, emphasizing that such involvement would serve as a catalyst for seizing opportunities and overcoming inhibitions. Quoting the institution’s mantra, ‘We own our words and deeds’, she underscored Paavai Institutions’ commitment to nurturing not only knowledgeable individuals but also self-disciplined contributors to society. Additionally, she emphasized the institution’s unwavering dedication to student welfare and the cultivation of excellence among its students.
As a testament to the achievements of the participants, prizes and certificates were awarded to deserving students, recognizing their outstanding contributions and accomplishments during TECHFEST 2K24. The valedictory session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Kaviyasri, a second-year student pursuing Computer Science engineering. The valedictory function of Techfest 2K24 served as a fitting conclusion to a period of intense competition, collaboration, and innovation, leaving participants inspired and motivated to continue their pursuit of excellence in the field of technology.
