The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organized an outreach program titled “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” on 28th January 2026 at Government High School, Kottappalayam, from 09:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The session was conducted by Mr. P. Prakash, Assistant Professor, Paavai College of Engineering, Pachal, Namakkal, who served as the resource person. He discussed the importance of innovation in today’s competitive world and explained how innovative ideas can be transformed into successful business ventures. The main objective of the outreach program ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ is to inspire participants to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and think creatively to address real-world challenges, while enhancing essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and risk-taking.
The session covered key aspects such as idea generation, design thinking, startup ecosystem, challenges faced by entrepreneurs, and the role of innovation in sustainable growth. Real-world examples and case studies were shared, making the session interactive and practical. Participants actively engaged in discussions and raised insightful questions. The main outcome of the outreach program “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” was a deeper understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship concepts and their role in economic and social development. Participants were able to identify real-world problems and propose innovative, feasible solutions.
