The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, organized a session titled “Webinar on Mentoring Session on Lean Start-up and Minimum Viable Product/Business for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs” on 8th August 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Brilliant Hall (Online Mode).
The session was led by Dr. V. Sathya Murthy, Head of Sona Incubations & Start-up Consulting, Sona College of Technology, Salem. He served as the resource speaker and delivered a highly insightful and engaging lecture. Dr. V. Sathya Murthy highlighted the critical role of prompt engineering in today’s innovation landscape. One of the key takeaways from the session was a clear distinction between an entrepreneur and an intrapreneur, providing valuable clarity for aspiring innovators. He also explained Lean Start-up principles, Lean Start-up metrics, creating an MVP, and shared examples of successful MVPs, demonstrating how these concepts support early-stage entrepreneurship.
The webinar commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. K. Sabitha, a final-year EEE student, followed by the introduction of the resource person by Ms. T. Harinisha, a second-year EEE student. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. S. Srinithi, also a second-year EEE student.
Dr. V. Hariharan, M.E., Ph.D., Principal; Dr. A. Immanuvel, M.E., Ph.D., Vice Principal; and Mr. D. Saravanan, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Paavai College of Engineering, addressed the gathering and expressed their appreciation for the speaker’s contributions.
The event witnessed active participation from faculty and students. Mrs. N. Nathiya, Convener of IIC, along with Heads of various Departments, around 20 faculty members, and approximately 100 students from different departments—totalling around 120 participants—attended the seminar.
