The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science organized a guest lecture on the topic “AI for the Future: Integrating ML and DL for Smarter Decision-Making” on 15.03.2025 at Brilliant Hall. The program began with a prayer song, followed by Tamilthai Vazhthu.
Ms. S. Deepika (III Year AI&DS), M. Mythili, and S. I. Arshun Nisha (II Year AI&DS) led the invocation, while R. Sonaali (III Year AI&DS) delivered the welcome address.
Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal of Paavai College of Engineering, delivered the presidential address at the inauguration, highlighting the current scenario of reliable and balanced grids.
Ms. C. Yeseshwini (III Year AI&DS) introduced the guest speaker, Dr. M. Senbagavalli, Associate Professor, CSE&IT, and Program Coordinator – Full Stack Development at Alliance University, Bangalore.
In her keynote address, Dr. M. Senbagavalli discussed Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, emphasizing their significance in modern technology. She also provided an in-depth explanation of Object Detection using CNN coding in Deep Learning. She concluded by stating, “The future of AI lies in creating intelligent systems that not only support but also enhance human decision-making, leading to a more efficient and intelligent world.”
The session was interactive, with students actively engaging with the guest speaker and gaining valuable insights.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Athulya Ramesh (III Year AI&DS).
