Paavai College of Engineering organized a guest lecture on “METAL 3-D PRINTING SCOPES” on 23.04.2022.The programme commenced with a Prayer song along with Tamilthai Vazthu. The inaugural function to the webinar was made in presence of Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions, Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, Dr.A.Immanuvel, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering and Dr.J.Narendran, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The welcome address was given by Mr.R.Hariprasath, Final year, B.E., Mechanical Engineering. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions presided over the function. In his presidential address, he stated that the there is need among the students to build their knowledge in the fundamentals and basics of every subjects in their field. He added “Paavai Institutions” is being designed to train students at various levels to reach their goals and it is the roll of the students to enrol them self with skill development opportunities arranged by the institution.
The introduction to Chief Guest was given by Mr.D.Kulothungan, Final year, B.E., Mechanical Engineering. The Chief Guest Dr.T.Ramprabhu, Scientist “E” and Joint Director, DRDO, Bangalore, Govt. of India made a Key note address in which he spoke about importance of attitude in everyone’s success.
Felicitation address was given by Dr.A.Immanuvel, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering. He specified the importance of improving knowledge during college days and it will support them in future. He also added that the students should be the coordinators in various programmes to gain leadership and organizing skills.
Then a Guest lecture was given by Dr.T.Ramprabhu about Metal 3-D Printing Scopes. First he briefs about evaluation of 3-D Printing and its need in current scenario. Then he explained, where and how 3-D printing is used in industries and what are its merits over other conventional methods. He also discussed about the challenges in implementation of 3-D Printing and it was the area where Researchers have to work.
The Vote of thanks was given by Mr.S.Abishek Shani from Final year Mechanical Engineering and the session ended with National Anthem.
