The Automobile and Mechanical Engineering Departments of Paavai College of Engineering organized a Seminar on “MAN, MACHINE AND NATURE” on 31.03.2023. The programme commenced with a Prayer song along with Tamilthai Vazthu. The inaugural function to the event was made in presence of Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions, Dr.A.Immanuvel, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering and Dr.J.Narendran, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The welcome address was given by Mr. Amal G Krishna, Third year, B.E., Mechanical Engineering. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions presided over the function. In his presidential address, he stated that the students should look the entire thing in Engineering Perspectives.
The introductions to the Chief Guests were given by Mr.P.Logesh, second year, B.E., Automobile Engineering. The Resource Person Dr.K.Thavasilingam, Assistant Professor, Easwari Engineering College, Chennai made a Key note address in which he spoke about importance of getting knowledge about new technologies even they are different domain. He also stated that all the Automobile and Mechanical Engineering students should have an Idea of adopting Artificial Intelligence in Machines and should focus on possible battery technologies for Electric Vehicles.
Then the session was continued by the Resource person Dr.K.Thavasilingam about the Bio-inspired technologies. He discussed about various bio mimicries that are copied from nature like the gecko feet design for shoes and hand gloves to claim walls and steep mountains. He also discussed the research possibilities in bio mimicry.
The Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Al Sajeedh Hussain, Third year Automobile Engineering and the session ended with National Anthem.
