An Alumni Guest Lecture on “Applications of Computer Aided Manufacturing” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 03-09-2019. The session was inaugurated by Dr.K.K.Ramasamy Director Admin in the presence of Dr. R.Arangasamy Principal, Head of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Heads of various departments, faculty members and the participants from departments of Mechanical Engineering. Mr.S.Praveen – Final year Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. In his Presidential Address, the Director Admin insists the students to Develop Aptitude and reasoning skills, technical skills and Language skills rather than Tamil and English for their career development. The keynote address was given by the guest speaker Mr.V.Jayaprakash, Production supervisor, MICROFINE BUSHINGS PRIVATE LIMITED, CHENNAI. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the College for their support. He expressed his experience as a student which gave him confidence to face the real world outside the campus. He explained about the history and importance of CNC’s and Basics of Design Software. He demonstrates the process of machining through videos. He motivated the students to participate in plant training to learn design software such as MASTER CAM, CATIA, E-SPIRIT, and SOLIDWORKS for organizing Technical Symposiums as well as Workshops and instruct them to gain practical knowledge. He passed the positive vibration and made all the students to work towards their goal. He rendered his heartfelt thanks to the Management, Principal, Head of the Department –Mechanical Engineering and the faculty members. The session ended around 04:00p.m. With the vote of thanks proposed by Mr.V.Santhosh, Final year Mechanical Engineering.
