It gives me immense pleasure to put forward the vision of Electrical & Electronics Department of Paavai College of Engineering. The Department established in 2006 has been able to impart quality technical competency for Electrical students. With the growing demand of Electrical Engineers in the Government and private sectors, the Department is making, the best efforts to produce highly trained and capable engineers who can take up the challenges of the real world.
The Electrical Engineering Department aims to provide academically rigorous and professionally relevant teaching in the specialization of Power systems, Power electronics, Electrical machines, Control systems and Electrical drives and controls. Importance is given to quality teaching and learning process. The staff members and students are encouraged to join various technical and non-technical forums, which in turn give them a great exposure to engineering concepts and technology. Every effort is made constantly to improve the growth of our Students.
The Department of EEE offers UG Course as well as PG in Power Electronics & Drives. The Department is enriched with latest lab equipment and promotes R&D activities in related areas in collaboration with industries. The Department has power Simulation lab with state of the art technology. The faculty members are well experienced and dedicated towards the upliftment of the student community. The students are exposed to the practical and industrial aspects of the subjects through laboratory work and periodic industrial visits.
