The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Paavai College of Engineering conducted a general orientation program for first-year NSS volunteers on 22.10.2024. Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal of Paavai College of Engineering, discussed the history, motto, and meaning of the NSS logo in his presidential address. Dr. A. Immanual, Vice Principal of Paavai College of Engineering, provided details about NSS regular activities and special camp activities during his keynote address. Mr. B.V. Maheswaran, NSS Programme Officer at Paavai College of Engineering, gave a general awareness session to the student NSS volunteers about their roles, responsibilities, and the benefits they can gain through NSS for their careers. He motivated the volunteers to participate in National Integration Camps, Republic Day Parades, and work towards achieving NSS Awards. Third and final-year NSS volunteers welcomed the freshers to the program. The NSS activities for the academic year 2024-25 were also discussed.
