SC/ST Cell
Introduction
The SC/ST Cell serves as a proactive platform dedicated to addressing the specific needs, concerns, and aspirations of SC/ST students, ensuring their comprehensive development and academic success.
Objectives
- Act as a body for disseminating information about SC/ST reservation policies applied in compliance with state laws in India.
- Provide a platform for SC/ST students to register grievances, ensuring adherence to constitutional provisions for their reservation and protection.
- Organize specialized opportunities for professional advancement of SC/ST students.
- Educate SC/ST students about various scholarship schemes offered by UGC and State Governments.
- Implement follow-up measures to achieve objectives set by the Indian government and UGC.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for SC/ST students’ voices to be heard and their needs addressed by the administration, representing their interests within the college community.
- Facilitate networking and community-building initiatives to create a supportive environment enhancing the college experience for SC/ST students.
- Monitor the academic progress and well-being of SC/ST students, identifying challenges and evaluating support services.
- Mediate and support SC/ST students in resolving conflicts, ensuring a harmonious learning environment.
