Dr. V. Hariharan, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering is an academician and researcher with a total experience of 36 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 and Master’s degree in Computer Aided Design in 1997 under Madras University and Ph.D from Anna University, Chennai in 2011.
He started his teaching profession as Lecturer and relieved as a professor in a reputed Private Engineering College. In his total teaching experience he served 9 years in polytechnic and 27 years in Engineering College.
He is the recipient of an Achievement Award twice for guiding the best M. Tech thesis by ISTE New Delhi. Then, he received from ISTE Tamil Nadu Section Best Student Chapter Faculty Advisor Award -2021 in 2022. He also received the ISTE Periyar Award for best Engineering College Teacher for the year 2022.
He has successfully completed 2 Ph.D Scholars. He has published 45 research papers in International and National Journals, 100 research papers in International and National Conferences. He organised many Sponsored Faculty Development Programmes through CSIR, Anna University, Chennai and ATAL, New Delhi for the benefit of the budding teachers in Mechanical Engineering in the country.
He is a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Institution of Engineers (INDIA), and Fellow member of International Society for Research and Development. He is an Academic Council Member and Anna University Nominee for the Board of Studies for the autonomous Institutions.
