PRINCIPAL’S PROFILE

Dr. M. Devi has been associated with Paavai College of Engineering since 2005. Starting her roots as a Lecturer and HOD in charge, her dynamic way of handling and running the Department of Civil Engineering led her to taking up the administration as the Principal of the institution with a span of just 7 years. In her 20 years of total experience in the teaching profession, she has achieved and contributed a great deal of value to the youth and the research community marking her a well-known scholar.

Her shear endeavor and ceaseless enthusiasm towards Paavai has led AICTE- CII in ranking the institution to “Platinum” status in the year 2016 – 2017. Her ever cheering encouragement let the institution to secure “Rank 1” in Tamil Nadu in “Campus to Corporate Pro-2017”, a national level contest on Corporate Employability for B Schools & Engineering Institutions conducted by The HR Club, Mumbai. Constant vigil and her efforts towards the development of the institution has resulted in Computer Society of India(CSI)-Accredited for a period of 3 years from March 2018 to March 2020 to engage in knowledge sharing, Technology and skill upgradation.

Not stopping at just recognition, her ambitious march in making functional associations has led to Paavai College of Engineering being recognized as member partner institute in Infosys campus connect and recognized as Centre for IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial courses. To make things firmer, her mentoring has led to signing up MOU with VBL Institute of Technical Campus for to jointly work on required industrial skills and experiences for the departments of Automobile engineering and CSE and MOU with Namakkal district Civil Engineering Association(CEA) to make the students more employable under campus to field program(C2F).

As the base has been established, she has made sure that the base operated effectively by committing to uproot the standard which resulted in becoming an institutional member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) – devoted to promotion of quality and standards in Technical Education. Leading the pathway and tuning up the future youth to become leaders, her vision has led to the establishment of Entrepreneur and Management Development Cell. Reaching to the far extents apart from academics, her joyful support and wishful thinking has led the institution to received Award of honor in “All India interstate invitational yoga championship & Tamil Nadu women yoga championship” organized by patanjali college of yoga and research centre and Silver Zone Award from Indian Association for Blind on 10th February 2018 in Madurai in recognition of voluntary contribution for the empowerment of visual challenges.

She has presented papers in abroad such as Widener University- Philadelphia, USA , University of Dubai- UAE, Science Society- Singapore, Asian Institute of Technology- Thailand, etc. She has published many papers in National & International journals and also National & International conferences. She is the life member of ISTE, ISRD, NEFD & CSI Technical bodies. She has been acting as the reviewer of many journals including Elsevier – Corrosion Science journal and associate member of Emirates Association of Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineers.
