A guest lecture on "Recent Trends in Nanoscience and Technology" was organized by the Department of Science and Humanities, Paavai College of Engineering, Namakkal, on 28.04.2012. Dr.R.Jayavel, Professor and Director, Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Anna University, Chennai was the Chief Guest.
Dr.V.Murali Bhaskaran, Principal, Paavai College of Engineering, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he pointed out the opportunities and importance of Nanoscience and Technology with examples.
Prof.Dr.R.Jayavel in his keynote address, advised the students to enhance their ability and skills in the field of Nanoscience. He advised the students to do their project work based on Nanoscience.In his lecture, he pointed out Nanotechnology is the manipulation of matter at the nanometer scale to create novel structures, devices and systems. The entire session was very effective and it initiated the students to engage themselves in invention.
