ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The Inauguration function of the Orientation Programme for the first year B.E./B.Tech students of Paavai Engineering College on the topic "Leadership Development" was conducted in the Forenoon of 8th November 2011 on the college premises.
Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions, presided over the function. In his presidential and inaugural address, he said that whatever is considered precision, will stay long in the heart and it will trigger, motivate and will not allow to sleep even.
He also added, that if an effective goal is being set then the determination to achieve the goal will help to achieve the same in a very short stipulated period. All the consequences should be faced so that these problems will help us to strengthen the mind to achieve the goals. The weakness and strength should be identified and the ways to overcome the weakness and steps to improve the strengths must occur simultaneously. Those who possess leadership traits will make them shine well in their career irrespective of their cadre.
He also talked about his two goals of getting a CA Degree and establishing n educational institution, which were cherished by him during his school and college days.
He also insisted that the motivation should come from within the individual and not to be initiated by others. Therefore, emulating him as a living example. The students should consider all the impossible as a possible. He also instructed the students to reap the full benefits of such leadership training programmes as he had experienced.
The main thrust of the whole orientation programme was 'Goal-setting and Time Management'. The 'ice-breaking' session was conducted in the morning. And in the ensuring sessions, the following finer aspects of human life were dealt with in detail:
� Set, Start and Succeed.
� You are the key.
� Who am I?
� Goal setting.
� I am greater than I am.
� Purpose is more important than potential.
� Time is precious and make the maximum use of it.
Earlier Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, inaugurated the function by lighting Kuthuvilakku. G. Rajanarayani of I B.E. welcomed the gathering.
